I got a call from Ching from He:art Matters and was requested to fill up an open slot as a replacement to paint the wall murals they are doing for an NGO.
But when i got there, Ching told me that there would be another private contractor that I had to coordinate with alongside her facilitation during the mural painting.
The team started to do their work but I wasn’t given any role to paint by Ching. I stood there helplessly without being given purpose.
Then the other private contractor came and it turned out to be Jesus Himself.
He said to me “Come! Cross the road to the opposite wall with Me.“
We walked over to the blank opposite wall and settled the paint stuff down. Then He told me to paint a single sunflower to represent myself on a blank wall without a background drop.
So I did and then while He was overseeing my work, He talked with me and we listened to each other. Just chatted like good close friends.
Then He asked me, “You know why I wanted you to paint this single sunflower?”
Shook my head no and He replied, ”Look at them.” He gestured to the Ching and the team.
“They seem hardworking together as one whole unit. But if any leader who doesn’t use or foster your gifts for My glory, just pave your own way to be a leader in your own right, even if it means being alone with Me.
This single sunflower represents you because I want to use all of you as a whole.
All the talents I’ve given you, you will make your own way to multiply your talents more and more. I understand if people like Ching and her team would like to single out out differently. Because I will use men’s rejection and slander against you for your good.
You were born to stand out and be set apart because I want to put a spotlight on you.“
Even if it means being an individual; that means you would be an artist who paved your own way, because compared to others, they use each others’ company and association to do “more”, when the truth of the matter is – that more is done and more than enough done when you are a single trailblazer. I will always set you up for greatness through the ostracisation in your life.”
“Can anyone find me sun-bud-y to love?”
